in the depths of the poet

there is a place of simple solitude
within, removed from chaos
a temple timeless and sequestered



the inner eyes of the poet

focus far beyond the present
embracing shadows of antiquity
apprehending gleams of infinity



the spirit of the poet

despises injustice and oppression
flies on unfurled wings beyond
petty partisan disputes and conflicts



the power of the poet

lies in unleashed thoughts penned
in absolute disregard to any fear
of misunderstanding or retribution



the path of the poet

is often silent and solitary
until visions of an enlightened soul
force his pen to speak and not spare



the heart of the poet

is broken often with dark despair
of humanity’s heartaches and hate
yet mended by shinning threads of hope
