Through Eyes Of Green
By La Belle Rouge

I’ve watched you, taken you in
far beyond fair fields of green
but can a life dare to begin again
when years have been lean and mean?

swimming in eyes, drowning in voice
musing in soft silence who you are
mystic eyes tell a tale of sorrow
seen through green fields afar

will closed eyes dare to open
after seeing too much too long?
can out of tune hearts play a melody
when they’ve long forgotten their song?

my green eyes are watching you, it’s true
not convinced of who or what they see
wondering if you’ve been blind too
and if you can still see me

Music "I Am I Said"

Your genuine emotions are always spelled out perfectly upon the page in a way that penetrates the soul and heart of man...endlessly touching and caressing the mind and heart with all the love that is contained within you. You will never realize the true worth of what is in your spirit until you see the smiles upon faces and the tears upon cheeks when you have reached beyond imagination as only you can.

RIPE AND READY TO TRY FOR THAT 'GOLDEN RING' ONCE MORE ... BUT... AFRAID...THAT 'REALITY' WON'T BE...KIND. OUTSTANDING...AS ONE HAS COME TO APPRECIATE AND EXPECT FROM 'LABELLE'. THANKS FOR SHARING AND BLESSINGS. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

This is the time for the "pupil" to learn from the teacher Ms. Rouge...the iris from afar, wondering, asking...some eyes do open after a span in time for what it was they may have been running from and now wizened with age...it all plays out in the green fields where it all started...eyes are "feelers"...and somebody is definately out there within reach, Belle...

Sage

I'm not sure the green eyes are to be taken literally nor symbolically as jealousy; for me, they are the eyes of reality and genuine questioning, the rich sensitive probes of Poet Belle.

Your first verse grabs the reader in a velvet embrace and you squeeze until, by the last verse, all that one can do is gasp. Gorgeous write.

Interesting, as green maybe seen as jealousy in the last stanza.

(News Flash!!! France have just lost to Mexico 2-0. HAHAHAHAHA. Sorry couldn't help it. Yes I could. NOT)

The is a Rumiesque quality about this poem.

I love this, Belle. It's elliptic and as if from the peripheral vision of the mainstay of mind's preoccupation, yet inhabits the very flesh of the heart and soul. There is something about green eyes that denotes extra-sensual perception, I believe. And those being watched by them sense it. This is an Eye-Spy of love and longing while quietly veiled in the sensible math of the mind. A beautiful coming together of the concrete and abstract to extract true meaning. One of your recent bests in my book. xx
