being human in all its diversity
bearing well the burdens of life
without denying such pain exists
knowing love cannot be imprisoned
for it is stronger than bolted doors
this is the purpose of another year
an opportunity to advance toward
the goal of creating authentic art
oh God give me a pen of purity
not one to scribble only pure words
oh no, not that, no artificial piety
for pious, you well know, I am not
let my words divulge a mixture of
all the truths that dwell in my soul
the good, the bad and even the ugly
given equal respect and expression
give me the strength to raise high
the knife of honesty and slash deep
my secretive heart until, from within,
her contents gush freely onto the page
for nothing less than an exposed heart
will ever produce poetry worth reading
or penetrate the sealed hearts of others
until tears become mingled with tears
Poetry from the heart and down to earth will move the reader to the intended emotion everytime. There is a blush of innocense in your words Belle. Only an accomplished poet would know this. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael
I need not be asked whether your work is art...for I know it is truly the top of the pile of art and wisdom, truth and emotion, love and laughter. You evoke all this and every sentiment between with your craft and your desire alone, to be the best makes you the best. I know well that pleasure in the mind when it is satiated by knowing that you have written a masterpiece and it is a treasure that can be hung on the walls. Know also, that if your work inspires, then it truly is authentic art.

There is so much power in your poetry, and in this, your elixir. You create works of art and you create works of love!
Many Blessings for the New Year,
Christine
Authentic Art indeed, Belle. As one of your readers and a faithful fan, I grasp every word you intend for our eyes to see through deeper meaning. You, dear lady are a poetess of time and substance, a writer of heart and soul, a personal scribe of higher literacy soaring on the quill of ethereal ink...Happy New Year, La Belle Rouge!
Darlin Belle, in love and laughter, peril and pain, your pen is ALWAYS pure. May it endeavour to become ever more radiant with authenticity and integrity in the coming year as you shine truth's light also into our own concealed, sacred/scared! and tender places. Happy New Year! xx
Oprah will be waiting, bless you for such true reflections of who we all are, and yes there is not other poetry or art, unless it's truly from the heart. The very best in the New Year Belle!!!!!!!!!!!!
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
