about frigid ice queens
fanning fires of hell?
portraying her with
such an icy attitude
but to her inner fire
the poets still allude
as they yearn to kiss
her full crimson lips
appraise gentle sway
of her seductive hips
to glimpse fiery flash
of her jeweled eyes
and by her sultry voice
become mesmerized
is she cold and cruel
bent to torture men
make them play the fool
turning off and on again?
or is she a mischievous minx
snowflakes adorning fair face
turning winter into spring
with her leather and lace?
ice queen thaws body and soul
as into your dreams she slides
where she alternately freezes
then ignites your impious insides
are they only poetic myths
bards have long propagated
and if they are merely myths
why is she loved, not hated?

I think this is dripping, sticky poetry, Belle, that's ice-cotton candy and spine-tingling, tangy sorbet in one! Bitter-sweet is how we like our love the best, perhaps, and I like the flirty, sing-song rhyme that tangos here and seduces. Has she, perhaps, cold heart and warm hands or cold hands and warm heart? That's the kind of Queen you paint for me here, rather than the reptilian ruthless-type.
