watching it float away on desire’s wind
hoping that your heart would hear again
waiting for the ancient spark to rekindle
but life has been brutal, pain, unrelenting
there seem to be no embers left to ignite
leaving me to wonder in cold dark of night
if I will ever again inspire your poetic pen
please listen to my quiet, gentle whisper
for I am here, always here, never far away
my thought in passing, honest sigh of love
true affirmation that nothing has changed
a ceaseless caress on the cusp of a dream
where longings have no need of elucidation
whispers echo eternally on tender breezes
please listen, as in former times, My Love,
for I cannot bring myself to shout at you
A whisper barely noticeable passing lips sometimes are a cry of the spirit that hungers for something that never was. Your words reflect such an intense instant in an eloquent and profound way. Thank you for sharing.

I raise your voice and see you one whisper: 'this is sweet'... a balm airbrushed with the sweet stain of solace invites reflection upon an image of blissful beckoning wistful solicitations... and sweetness follows. Yet the conclusion seems more cacaphony than crescendo, does it not?
