That's Just The Way It Is Well, I like steak and brunswick stew but if you only eat greens that's up to you with what you eat I ain't got nothin to do and that's just the way it is I like John Prine and Andre Bocelli too I don't smoke toks but I don't care if you do I got a drawl but if you ain't that's OK too and that's just the way it is I like a good story 'specially if it's scary not my business who you love and marry I shave my legs but if you go hairy that don't matter to me I read Edgar Allan and Stephen King I ain't too plain 'cause I like me some bling I'm allergic to a bee and yellow jacket sting and that's just the way it goes Some say I' m countrified and that's OK 'cause I like watching the corn stalks sway tobacco curing in the barn on a fall day and that's just the way it is If you don't like me, well, that's alright we ain't gonna fuss and we ain't gonna fight my clothes might be fright, my hair a sight that shouldn't matter to you I have a good life, I wouldn't change it wouldn't redo it or rearrange it I got over the people who hate it they no longer matter to me Yeah, that's the way it is, not no other way if they wanna leave I won't beg 'em to stay I hope we're both ready for judgment day and that's just the way it goes

Is it you? Is it you! Doesn't matter the poem is more than the parlance of bling. It's fun to read and makes me wonder if it would be enhanced by the accompaniment of a tin whistle or an oboe, depending on my mood when I read it. It reminds me of a mental exercise to evaluate where my little life's etude will stand on judgement day. I hope there is value to others and more grace than I readily recall.

You reminded me of Walter Cronkite's sign off of the news every evening.

Love the vernacular and honestly about who the writer is� Not playing a character but being the character of the poem. That's cool.
