How much the company that let you go is really missing you.
Losing a job doesn’t erase years of experience,
It doesn’t take away the outstanding accomplishments.
It just means something was turned off,
To allow something new to turn on.
A poem with a lot of good advice. Some people seem to be able to rebound easily. For others, it's difficult. For me, it seemed impossible. Long periods of unemployment can be very hurtful to the ego of the person who worked hard to get somewhere and then lost it because of some political or greedy management move.

In my case, many employers were totally unsure that they could employ someone with growing paralysis to be of any use at all. Why I'm glad that I'm retired and doing what I want to do. Not making any money with writing, but enjoying writing my heart out.
