I can so empathise with this piece, as I too have been there. If health is good..especially after illness..it is a BEAUTIFUL day! This illustrates the feeling well. I like the use of colour to further illustrate this! Love, Diana.
Susan, this is a good piece on contrasts and it is thought provoking. I understand what you were going for with the different colored fonts, but some of the lines are barely readable on my system.
This is so great. I like the contrast in each stanza. The first stanza lead the audience to think this was a bad day; and yet even though it was a bad day to others, it was a good day for you because you because your arms and legs work.
This poem can be read in sooo many ways. You can read it as an uplifting poem; but then again, when I think of it, you're only thinking it was a great day because your arms and legs work on this day. Then what about the other days that they supposedly didn't work??? Were you hinting this?
I'm sorry, when I read a poem, I'd like to read the poem in more than one ways, it just make poetry all the more interesting.
