Then, one gleaming moment.....a miracle occured......

Poem Artwork

FORGIVEN

I spent my life in turmoil

Futile justification

Vain attempts to validate

My wretched sinful nature

Then

One gleaming moment

A miracle occurred

Lightning bolt of mercy

Precious saving grace

Forgiven

In majestic form

Burning bush split second

Embraced by Jesus Christ

Unconditional love

His radiance

Immaculate

Glowing peace

Profound

Today

I share this blessing

With all who cross my path

Selah

 10 "Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."

Psalm 46:10 (New International Version)

A beautiful write my friend, a message of hope and encouragement, we should share our hope and faith with others, help them to realize what joy is awaiting, and the cleansing miracles that can happen within one when they are truly forgiven. Outstanding write indeed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Bill, this is such a beautiful expression of God's love for mankind...regardless of our mistakes, HE wraps HIS mighty arms around us and forgives everything wrong we've ever done. Through HIM all things are possible and I feel blessed to have read this. Thanks for sharing such an inspirational poem.

Breathtakingly beautiful in its simplicity and truth.
The Selah is perfect, and if I understand it correctly, it is a pause, not an ending. That makes it so right for this poem, because your state of being "forgiven" does not end here -- your life will continue to glorify God.

God bless you, Brother
Connie

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
