Heart Like Water

... my soul, a solid thing,
melts as you rise above
me, a sun of desire.
i drown in your arms, my
limbs turned liquid as you
drink me into you and
slip through my fingers --- a
ghost of a memory.
heart like water:  it cries
with a thousand tears of
love that can never be ...

I like this, Karla. Maybe your ghost of a memory is of where you go when you "sleep". :)
