Outbreak

Poem Artwork

One after another after another:  no
rest between.  Soon as one storm
leaves, the next moves in ---- a
trainwreck of chaos and devastation

coming down the line.  Outbreak.
A community hit.  Lives and property
trade places with sky.  Farther along
the track, the next town lies in wait.

No let up.  NWS personnel, chasers
and spotters do what they can, but
sometimes, early warnings aren't
enough:  people still die.  Homes

and businesses are destroyed.
Psyches damaged beyond repair.
Friend of mine on the Mapleton
storm:  stopped to assist.  What

he saw ----- he still smells the
storm and what it left behind:  Fear.
Pain.  PANIC.  Brings back my own
memories of when I lost my roof:  it

does something to you.  Could've
been worse, thankful it wasn't.  This
time.  Never know.  All I can do is
prepare.  Pray.  Lord, keep us safe.

The world wide catastrophes do seem to be increasing...scary and you captured the utter helplessness in this write Karla...

Karla, we recognize our vulnerability and the potential perils we face when mother nature rages. We become aware of just how small and insignificant we are in relation to powerful, massive storms. Free to roam at will anywhere and time they choose. Stay safe and well my dear friend. I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael

KARLA - well put!

MAN and his Greed and Foolishness have been like Splinters, festering in Mother Nature's skin ... Eventually the Poison and Puss Must Erupt - and with a FURY!

Air, Land, Sea, Food Pollution - Chemicals, CO2 Emissions, Atomic Bomb Blasts and Tests - Wars - Pestilence ... We have brought it on Ourselves!

As God and Mother Nature work together to bring about a CLEANSING and a RESTORATION - Man Must Suffer the Consequences - Life, Limb, and Chattels Will Be LOST ...

"Lord, keep us safe". Indeed! Power in your words; hard hitting write of what storm chasers must endure trying to keep ahead of the storm and warning people to stay safe ... well done, Karla; brava! And the picture is fantastic!
