What kills me: they tell you, 'The safest
place to be is in a basement.' Lacking
that, 'Interior room, lowest floor, away
from windows.' And then you have an
EF5, where the forecasters are saying,
'The only way to survive this thing is to
be below ground.' THERE IS NO
'BELOW GROUND' in many parts of
Tornado and Dixie Alleys --- sitting
ducks, under the twisting skies,
wondering if this is the end of the
world: Camping got it all wrong. It's
not earthquakes that are going to
be our undoing, but tornadoes -----

Camping seems to be wanting to simply make a name for himself, his predictions are nothing but guesses, no one knows, the hour but the Father himself, but you are so right, we have seen so much devestation...

and floods, certainly seems like the south is taking a thrashing these days. if we get an earthquake, i'll be in the thick of it. good to see you again:-)
Maybe out your way and the south & midwest, but I think if anything were to do Jersey in, it would come in the way of an earthquake or a BIG hurricane...e
Another scary but true piece Karla. We had a tornado go right past us 2 nights ago and as scary as it is, the artist in me was outside staring at those thick ominous storm clouds so low they almost sat on the palm of my hand and all I could think of was how beautiful the 900 different shades of gray were. Have to find something good from the bad sometimes. It made the night a little worrisome. Loved the piece Karla and your passion.
