Like shards of a thousand rainbows
the torrent falls
with delicate strength and tumultuous roar.
As light glints on the droplets
the prisms reflect jewel like hues
before crashing into the foamy pool below.
Bordered by grey rock face and wild flora,
the elegance and beauty
causes one's breath to stop.
Our insignificance in Nature's display,
in the very essence of being
becomes apparent.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
