We called you Petro due to your quest for the best of times Always down for a hustle (at least until the money came) a car stero extraction specialist led many midnight fence hopping rendezvous
Nothing but the best Best toys Best cars Best herb Never a woman between you and the Boys (at least until the money came) When you did, you did Big Bigger Badder Faster Better How many cars were buried as Colt .45 statistics?
We had your back (even when the money came) You didn't listen - Eighteen years young with three quarter mil will blind you quicker than Masturbation / New aquaintances seemed disciples and Snowy nights turned to Snowy days turned Snowy mornings as I found you scrubbing your floor at two
You used to stand HUSKY in a healthy way (at least until the money came) found there was less of you with each encounter - Eyes revealed of sleepless scrubbing nights counting ribs through flaring vacuums set to BLOW and the disciples quick to take quick Portland Trip trips all the while you thinking your dry humor humorous
We tried to hint of plastic vultures who shook with each second their Mint's wallet lay dormant phantasizing about chopping leather fine enough to satisfy endorphin crazed hunger strikes but you couldn't hear us (at least until the money went)
You were never content Petro, missing the beauty in an all natural rolled in symmetric superiority or godlike conversation lamenting on what the Uknown knows-If you crawled out of your hole today, would you notice a genuine gesture from an old friend? To see you once again I would be willing to pay back the indebtedness to you that afflicts my conscience today (two Kools and a double cheeseburger) as I was hungry and in a bad way thankful you were there (long before the money was)
Nice work...you write a poem of story and reflection, the past and its many travels of youth, peril, and deception through the encounters of life, funny how age can find one seeing the past and wishing one could re-live and or change its course...
Pedro, seems the alter ego of someone, a reflection about times past yet still going on in a meditating subconscious (at least until the mones comes)
Great but mystical.

The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
