What do they say about it? The stars.
We know it is in them
Which star, if only one? Or ones, then?
Mostly we spend our time choosing
To ignore it. Running from it even.
We work, buy, save, cook and clean
We polish, rid, replace, renovate
We kiss, love, soothe, hate and strike out at someone
We get in and out of cars and trucks
We get on and off buses, planes and trains
Once in a while there’s a funeral
Ye bronze coffin, Mate!
There we sit in the church
At the service. How everyone’s aged!
We cry with the rest. Or manage not to
Our time’s coming, we know. Shhh…
Just don’t mention it out loud, honey
Easier to ignore it. Or run from it.
Preparations?
Now I know you’re out of your foolish mind!

Excellent reminder: if you can't cry with me while alive, don't you dare cry and say how great I was at the funeral...may haunt ya! LOL Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, karla.
Bom voyage!
