Looking for acceptance one day I sprained an ankle, broke two toes and scraped, scarring permanently, what had been a perfectly nice knee.
At that point I began to wonder--if acceptance WERE ever to occur(fingers crossed), how many Reese's pieces would I find myself in, how friggin' old would I be and would it really truly no-lies-now matter?
It'd be like a decrepit octogenary's coming into something! No. No acceptance was good in my case like no news and to hell with the corporate she/he stuck with the tainted task of "acclimating" me on that hitherto elusive day.
"Here you go, sir, your Twinings nice 'n' hot the way you like it; a soft pillow behind you for that optimal small-of-the-back support; your last minute Yahoo news alerts(bugs 'n' all) printed in good black ink and, of course, a nice peanutty warm muffin splashed with hot chocolate sauce to boot. Hmm. If I may ask, will Sir be contributing anything in particular today?"
(Of course Sir will be contributing, dummy! He's got a rep to live up to, waves to make! Sir will also be cooking a bit, washing up afterwards as well as vacuuming a room or two. It's what Sir is used to. Got any more useless questions?)
Looking for acceptance one day I sprained an ankle, broke two toes and scraped, scarring permanently, what had been a perfectly nice knee. Then I remembered--occupational hazards. For a less-than-earth-shaking country voice. Ain't life fun?
