Endure the Antagonism
General bleakness generally hits you like a ton of bricks
Pounding the mind, and the soul, with a force beyond imagination
Lost to the wiles of the world and its cohabitants
With their perverse sense of scrutiny and absurdity,
No morality to save the souls that roam these darkened halls.
Languid and lost is this soul in all this conformity
Strapped down to a table unseen with chains and leather
Whipped beyond recognition by some concealed dominatrix
One who cackles loudly with each sick slap of leather upon flesh
This is not pleasure mixed with pain; it is utter pain and torment!
A bargain, this is not!
I’ve sold my soul to no one, especially to those who rot in Hell
I refuse to become a twisted and unshapely form,
I conform for no one!
An enigma I am to those who see me, a paradox of sorts
To be tormented, enslaved by society unwillingly.
Will no one love this soul that slowly withers before thy very eyes?
Love her for what she is, not what she could be, not what she should be!
Let me rip those eyes from their sockets
The very ones which narrowly scrutinize me without care.
Let me feast upon the dead hearts that still beat in stone
The very ones of those souls who lie and deceive without moral.
Let me dismember, limb from limb, those who antagonize me.
