Alone, in the night, sweet solitude Clings to me, carries me away Upon invisible wings of memories. Lost to reverie, while tears fall silently, To pool upon the floorboards Of my life indefinitely. For what am I, Without my words, without my Imagination, without my soul? A whisper Carried upon the winds of time, one Tiny little grain of sand within an Hourglass of millions. Care not for This whispering soul the world does, Sifting me through countless lifetimes Full of heartbreak, leaving my soul To ache for eternity and then some. I am flightless without thee in mine life, Grounded to this Earth, forevermore. No love to carry me upon the wings Of sweetest angels. Cupid has scorned Me with his arrows, as they embed Deeply, wounding this heart o’ mine In ways so sadistically insane. I bleed, For perpetuity, this wound has and never will Heal, scab over, clot if you will.
Alone, in the night, I cry a dreamless sleep, As I slowly wither and die.
