Rebirth
A soul, newly refreshed, yet
Full of fear and bewilderment.
This child comes into the world
Anew, yet already wise beyond
Her years. The rebirth of life,
Of soul and of joy, held within
The words of prose.
He takes her hand, gently, as this
New found glory comes full circle.
Tarry on words that bring forth
Images of playfulness, and despair,
That lingers throughout the musty
Air. She sings sweetly in the night,
Songs of fanciful delights that only
She might have known from some
Other passing life.
Each moment, to her, is filled with joy,
Rapture at knowing such emotion. She
Can only see the day at hand, the moments
She holds onto gently within the heart
Until the next chance she gets to see within
This other heart, however fleeting that might be.

Laura... THIS was SO Emily Dickinsonish! You my friend are very talented! I appreciated the twisted emotions in this. Lovely work.
Thanks,
Emilie
