Trapped ...

But, there are no bars
At least, none that one can see
Locked inside and lost, drowning

... at times

From the rising waters
Brought on by years of pain

Yet, can one cry a river of tears?

Frantically, I search for a way out
To escape this invisible box
Clawing and scratching, the yearning

... to be free

Alone!

There is no one to hear my pleas
Only silence to comfort, console
So now, in this invisible prison
My glass box fills with my tears

If only I could break free
