All I've ever wanted in life,
was to be loved for just me.

Yet, past this face, so it seems,
no soul could see. So I may
look different, but what so unique
about flowers that all look the same?
Do the flakes of snow that fall
in Winter share the same face ...

No ...

Neither do fingerprints ...

I am me, an individual who sees
this world and the joy it could
bring. Yet, what I see only dwells
beneath the surface, where most
do not think to look ...

All I've ever wanted is to be loved,
for me. Not condemned for what
ails me.

I am a scapegoat to the world,
upon my shoulders rest the
troubles of all I know and more.
Burdens, some I've taken on
out of choice ... but the others,
they have been thrust upon me
without asking.

My roller coaster of pain is the
culprit for my husband's attitude,
his anger and dismay. Or so, at
least, he says. Does this give him
the right to plague me with cruel
names in what seems to be a
playful manner?

Me thinks not!

If only someone could love me
for me and look past all my
insecurities and idiosyncrasies.

Please, just love me for me.

This cuts.
I feel like I've been dragged through broken glass.
I'll just pray "Please, may you find that love you deserve."
Awesome writing.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
