Gag the voices that drown out one another
and bring sweet silence to the void that is
my soul so that I might find serenity
Let me bleed out, cast aside this flesh so
that I might wander carefree around this
world. I wish not to be hindered by such
slow moving flesh!
Please, let me bleed out
End this suffering so that my soul might rest!
I need not this desolation, I am imperfect, but
who isn't after all?
I am left feeling ashamed and dirty, with a
haunting past that will not dissipate. I seem
to be condemned through lies of trust, but
hate underlies.
Please, let me burn out or just fade out
I want to walk away into the storm, into the
winds that howl and the driving rains. Yet,
tethered I am to this world for all its worth,
which doesn't seem much. Especially to him,
for I see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice.
I am scared of this place and the Hell I walk in.
I am tired and cannot rest, for there is no respite
for the likes of me. I need to stay on the run, but
yet the icy cold fingers they do threaten each and
every day to grasp my flesh and condemn to death.
Let me slip ... let me bleed out ... I need to sleep.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
