One can follow a jagged trail of tracks,
leading through the powder, trailing through
the woods in a haphazard manner.
The tracks lead to a wandering lone wolf,
traversing the winter scape with no mate.
Her fur is tattered and her eyes sad as she
stares blankly ahead, walking in circles on
occasion.
She howls to the winds that blow ... they
message back from time to time, empty
messages carried across time. There is
no soul to answer her call here in this
winter wasteland.
