My needs are few, roof over my head, food in my belly to keep my fed and gas in my car, ain’t going far, (at these prices, who can?)
Paid $3.59 a gallon just today, going up tomorrow, more I surely don’t want to pay. Times are getting mean, trimming back as far as I can, all I need is gasoline… At today’s rate for me to putt putt along my best bet, would be a can of pork and beans.
Ain’t life a gas?

blessin's, keep that can opener handy with plenty of pork and beans. . . creating natural gas is what we might all want to do. . .and let it all loose in synchronized unison, put it in tankers, and power our cars with methane fuels.

Good play on words and every bit is as true as can be. Have you seen cynth'ya's poem called "suck'd," which covers what Americans can do about this gas situation?
Life truly is a gas these days. I sold one of my old trucks, and now, I ride a bike wherever I can - the upside - I'm getting lots more exercise - and these damned gluttonous oil companies are getting far less cash from me.
Hey all of you there, what are crying for, I pay seven bucks a gallon, yes U$S 7.00 pr.gl, so stop whining and count your blessings, until the boys from Haliburn gives you something really to whine about.

An ode to the gas tank! Good question, but no answers of yet..At least you can see a little humor in this. What is next? Gas lines for odd and even license plates.........
Nothing like good old methane gas. LOL. The greed of the Oil companies knows no bounds and 5.00 a gallon will be with us before the end of the year and all the politicians will do nothing about it. We are importing millions of gallons less from overseas because the US oil companies are supplying the short fall with their oil because there is so much profit in it for them. When will we consumers do something about it. But as the oil companies know they have us over the barrel(Of oil)
It's a gas for the rich...us poor slobs who have to work to afford the basic necessities get screwed again. They're talking about that on the news right now: many will be on the road over the holiday, prices be darned. What's it gonna take for us to say, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH???? Makes me glad I don't have a car, my own two feets are my transportation. Can barely afford to fuel mySELF, how would I afford to gas up a car? I wish big business would stop lining their pockets with record setting profits that WE pay...an excellent write, Dan, well done.

Lol...It's over $3 a gallon here too! We nearly have to take out a bank loan to buy a tank of gasoline! It's awful. Hang in there, my friend!
