I dreamt of snow falling past frosted windows
Of heavy sweaters and steaming mugs
Hands held across an inviting kitchen table
Of the sounds children make playing in the next room
Soft smiles and eyes too full of love
Of a brilliant sunset as darkness comes
A tasting kiss before going to scoop up children rapt with giggles
Of a lazy night with those most cherished
Warm arms circling me while busy at the stove
Of eyes slowly closing as tales of wonder are told
A couch with two huddled together, cuddling
Of stolen kisses and sensual caresses
I dreamt of you last night
