we bought the painting that was entitled "love" -
splashed with glorious smiles,
peaceful days
and perfect relationships,
and as we carried it with us,
looking for a place to hang it,
the illuminous, flourescent light of reality
awakened senses in brightness
like naked faces mirrored in public bathrooms,
all truth showing through
