I see the fishy stickers On the backs of all the cars That cut me off as they rush To get to the happy hour bars. I see the preachers on TV As they yell for us to repent But are the scandals they get into Also heaven-sent? I hear the children singing carols As the holidays draw near But it's bloody video games they want To get at the end of the year. What Would Jesus Do What Would Jesus Say If He knew his name was used As it is used today. Now I'm no angel either No pure nor Christian child But I do not understand How this world got so defiled. "What Would Jesus Do?" Is the new marketing campaign Used by people who know the world Has gone absolutely insane. But it is marketing and commercialism That has ruined the celebration Of the birth of a man that was to be The hope of every nation. What Would Jesus Do What Would Jesus Say If He knew his name was used As it is used today. I hope the Christians are wrong I hope that God should not be feared; I can't believe the zealots Who claim that God has disappeared. For He is all around us And I hope He loves us all For when our time is over I would hate to see their Kingdom fall. It is this time of year When present buying takes its tolls That they should instead think about Love And what they can do to save their souls.
