I would discard my mail and arms if I thought they would not by needed,
Lay them gently down in some far pasture,
As if I were putting an animal to final rest.
Then I would walk lightly away,
And let the soft murmurings of time woo their memory from my soul,
Putting them to final rest like a brook burying pebbles.
