Which determines our longing?
What makes us want?
Let’s say meat is meat
Yet we prefer to eat
That which has no human hands or feet
Even our pets so sweet!
So why have we put these others
Who for slaughter our soul not bothers
Have they no love or feeling
Much care their own are dealing
What craving would abate?
That feeling is it hate
Do we suspend our soul from feeling?
When with our gut we’re dealing
Can’t we make them also friends?
And cut that ugly fence
From now on then eat veggies hence
And make our soul amends
Cordon bleu and all their chefs
Make veggies taste as well as beouf
Would save the planet while we do
Eating meat eschew
Stop suspending your belief
While eating pork or beef
Then there is duck and chicken too
Frogs, foi gras or any other stew
Boiled lobster, clams, and fish,
Did I forget an other dish?
Well you get my take
Take a break and eat a cake!
