There is a place

Somewhere deep down within me

Where words burst forth like fireworks

And sometimes open like a book

Somewhere within me

Where words shine like a beacon in the night

Cutting through dense foggy thought

In the early morning light

Somewhere within me

Where expressions pulsate like a heartbeat

Keeping the core of my soul alive

Somewhere within me

Where poetic thoughts course through my very soul

Leaving my mind spent,

While my pen longs for more

Somewhere within me

Is that secretive space of spoken communication 

Made known by invitation only

And you must RSVP

Somewhere within me

Where my native tongue

Delves into yet another realm

Filled with possibilities

There is a place

Somewhere deep down within me

And that special world
