One Small Figure

The snowflakes slowly glide through the sky
the wind blowing them to and frow.
bitter coldness has struck the town
and frost bite is in the air.
The trees are bare and covered with snow
roads are on sheet of ice,
The streets, the parks empty and deserted
all snowy corners are ghostly quiet
until one lonely child makes his way
into the cold wilderness
In an attempt to build a snowman
When he’s done, he smiles at his work
And he leaves, one small figure
In the all white cold ice and snow.
