But I say that my brown skin makes me a beautiful black child
With hopes and dreams to be fulfilled
My brown skin does not define me as an
Ignorant black woman
I am intelligent and full of ideas.
My brown skin does not classify me as lazy I am a working black woman
That provides for herself
I am comfortable with my Brown skin
Why are you not?
I am beautiful, strong, sexy, intelligent and happy . . .

It always boils down to a matter of perspective. You capture that here clearly. It's always amazing to me that these kinds of battles still rage in our society.
