with eyes of blue
and lips of scarlet

when you kissed her
she tasted like strawberries

with eyes of hazel
and the teeth of panthers

when you touched
they would scratch you

you dreamed of a brunette
with long auburn hair
and eyes of fire

when you saw her
she broke your heart

but the girl with blue eyes
like the color of the sky
adorned your world in hues

where you imagined a rainbow
she colored your world

you knew a lot of girls once
with kisses of golden passion
and eyes of unknown mystery

when they looked at you
it was a moment of bliss

you knew a girl
she had strawberry lips
and kisses so sweet

you took her in your arms
and caught her breath

you knew a girl
her eyes like almonds
hair of reddish brown

she had the smile
of a strawberry dream
in a summer’s breeze

you caught her whispers
and made them your own
