looking into the morning sky
eyes bleary
crying with the sorrowful loss
eyes teary
horizon appears
veiled by the gasping night
lovers hurry to start the day
squinting into the window pane
the flooding light, bright orb
tears flow like rain
dripping
like the morning dew
settling into your mind
like the thirsty grass
the flower petals folding
drooping
wilted by the heated sky
the sun bright day
eyes weary,
eyes teary,
the night over
the lovers quenched lusts
looking into their future
crying out for each other
eyes closed against the truth
against the light
tears flow like rain
after a storm
eyes weary
peering into coming twilight
hoping to forget
crying for lovers
eyes teary
a moon rising full
the stars falling, streaking
eyes bleary
memories of sorrow
lovers embrace to forget
the day over at last
only midnight holds joy
holds bliss, holds delight
we hold tight
looking into the coming night
I feel abit bereft of this emotion, Dale, I've been married so long and known him longer. Though this has stirred old memories of esctacy and pain. Funny, how Time's passing blurs and stirs old emotions together into dreamy lassitude... Your piece rocks! :)
