We drove across the great bad lands
Later we camped near a fishing site
We lie on a grassy bank
near a bubbling brook
watching the twilight
As the stars came out in their glory
they covered us like a blanket
Then we saw the moon
and I said... see that land scape
It had to be shaped when the clouds parted
She was the moon
She came upon me long ago
It had to be a fairy tale
and the stars fell
it was you and I...Baby
our love would remain
for eternity
She left her shape here
with her curves and form
She kissed the sand
carassed the shale and stone
She smiling now in the night sky
upon you and I...love
She bear down on the earth
lighting up the beauty
We listened to the brook sing
as we watched the starry sky
Our hearts beating together
Who couldn’t fall in love?
As the Moon scuplted us
Our hearts were burning
in this lovers light
We hold tightly
It left us breathless
We breath one another
and the cool breeze blows
a cool sensation
for hearts on fire
burning in the night
The moon can indeed cast "magical" spells it seems, Dale. Wonderful poem. It reminds me of my poem, "Moonspell" which I posted at AD some time back. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,
