Heartless Wanderer

The pain was real The thoughtless wanderer waltzed with your heart Wandered with your dreams with cruel cravings The power of loneliness The power of lust Wandering love was lost in a hardened heart without passion It lies with a false dream dancing so carelessly The heart will surely break like glass in a million ways pieces scattered about shards of a lost love beneath the dancers feet Your soul was scarred too deep to hold again Your heart abused Who could you trust? Who could hold you again? If you put it back together Can it heal? Can you love? Will the pain hurt too much? If you never do who can blame you? Your sorrow was deep Your trust shattered Wandering souls steal hearts to dance with the moon & stars but at dawn they disappear � 2003 CJ Clark All Rights Reserved

The very metaphor of hearts and glass.... this is a subject that not many pen out very well. We have all heard a story of a btoken heart. THIS is writen with such dignity that is true to the subject of the poem....I just sit breathless in awe.

The heart will surely break
like glass in a million ways
pieces scattered about
shards of a lost love
beneath the dancers feet

This says so much.. Filled with pain and a undercurrent of light.
