It’s the wonder of you it’s the effervescence of your smile Am I imagining the morning? waking—taking me along to feel the sunrise I turn over see your silhouette you brush your hair then your teeth it wakes me with mischievous desires You smile at the mirror Your hair falls upon bare shoulders I check your shape It’s the wonder of you You put on your clothes the scrubs for work covering long silky legs your top over luxurious mounds a beautiful shape The light upon your face pert pretty contour captures my heart You cover up with makeup and say I’ve got to go Walking out—please take me I roll over time on my hands turning inside my skull I switch on the TV listen to the news The pretty voices telling me today will be fair hot or cold sunny or bright rainy or cloudy Doesn’t matter It’s the wonder of you I live for © 2003 CJ Clark All Rights Reserved
