Let us pray for our soldiers and for
our Country!

Soldier


I am a solider ready for war
I am not sure what is in store
For me and for my comrades here
I only pray that God is near

I watch them try to find the dead
Their tearful eyes I see with dread
The hopes that maybe they will see
Just one more living in the debris

I wonder what will come of me
As I fight for liberty
As I avenge the blood that cries
From the ground of my Country’s pride

Am I afraid? You bet I am
But that won’t stop my upraised hand
I know that hell I must face
To keep my Country filled with grace

For Love of Country is my battle cry
And whether my fate is to live or die
I’ll do my part to rid our land
Of evil plots at terrorist’s hands.

So now I pray for Grace and power
That God will help me in this hour
To stand with pride, do what I must
And say to the world, in God We Trust

The only thing I ask of thee
Is please dear brethren pray for me
To have the strength for what I must do
To have the strength to make it thru

And if dear ones, if I should die
Make sure that freedom marches on
Don’t let them take what my blood bought
That would be far too high a cost

And one more thing I ask of thee
Watch out for each other on bended knee
Bring Jesus back into our land
With God there is no sinking sand

And if I march into the sky
You will know I died with pride
I fought among the very best
America God please to bless

So watch and pray
Please pray for me
This soldier fights for our Country
Let Liberty forever ring
God bless America …..And God bless me!
