Sorrow Is A Gray Hue

Being a Shadow Child, I find a home in the grayness of shadows.

The brooding sound of a piano, fits my mood,
I wish no froth of solace, to mar my attitude.
Me, my companion of the hour,
We toast our failures with faces so dour,
Today, we shall not paint our faces with a bogas smile,
Today we walk the Trail Of Tears, reflecting on each mile.
My aura screams," JUST STAY AWAY!",
I alone will wallow in this day!
As I journey into my self induced abyss,
I lose myself within a purple mist.
My shell is present, but my mind and spirit have drifted away,
Don't seek me, let time and space play.
Sadness and sorrow, wish to bring me down,
To make me grovel and sprawl upon the ground.
My shell may comply, but my spirit hovers above,
I safely fly above the storm, my spirit, a white dove.
Then I fly away, in skies of blue,
While my shell, still remains, shrouded in a gray hue.

Seems tha your heart is like a kitten looking around for a lap where to curl, get warm and feel protected.
Gray is a color too, many of us wear it everyday.

Solitude, in this hectic world is diamond...

Sometimes the best company is ourselves, we are content to just be quiet and not ask too many questions. Love the poem, touched my heart SC.
