Life is a constant battle for this weary Road Warrior
This is the season of my discontent,
My soul is lacking something and it fills me with resent.
I wander through the days, in a self induced trance,
I ache for passion and some romance.
Denied passion makes me quake,
But I trudge on for maintenance's sake.
There shall be no changing of horses in mid stream,
I shall put away false hopes and rash dreams.
I must be a Road Warrior and travel on,
Choose a suitable War Chant paint my face and be strong.
Although with each step, I grow weary and weak,
Destiny calls and I have promises to keep.
Once upon a time foolish youth lead me astray,
Now I must pay for the folly of yesterday.
Unshed tears sting my eyes,
But I hear my Cherokee Ancestors remind me," Warriors Don't Cry!"

She Wasnt Cherokee , she was French, you 2 have this in Common,,, - we 3.... Bernadette Sioubiroux --- The Strength of .... a Bear.... (The Catholic CHurch in Port Wentworth is named after her)--- Our Lady of Lourdes...
Great write SC, and one I can relate to, today of all times. I too feel I am riding a steed into battle and the odds against me seem stupendous but I will never give up without a fight.
