My life has always been one step away from disaster

Dancing on the razor's edge, my feet sliced to the bone,
While my blood runs red and deep, I dance to despairs drone.
Teetering on the brink of the abyss,
My mind is vacant, the thought process is amiss!
My body is weary, I have a lackluster stare,
I smother, my surroundings are devoid of air!
Hysterical screams bubble up in me,
I drown in my own life's sea.
I gaze into the darkness, but there is nothing to see,
The storm winds have blown the candle out, that was to have guided me.
Whimpers in the blackness, are my fears expressed,
The reality of knowing that I have failed another life test.
Failure and unworthiness, covers me like a shroud,
As I slowly sink and drown, I am cheered on by the watching crowd!
