Shadow Woman has the strength of the Willow Tree, life's storms may bend her, but never break her.
Like her Cherokee ancestors that came before, Shadow Woman faces emotional trvail with stoic silence.
Inwardly, the storm rages, but only her eyes reflect a flicker of pain.
She possesses a warrior's heart and spirit.
She has learned the strength of the Willow Tree.
Storm winds blow on her, they may make her bend, but can never break her.
Shadow Woman also embraces the She Wolf's spitit, she keeps the determination to survive at all cost.
She has no suitable mate, for no male can match her passion and fire.
She howls her lament to the moon, for she is an unfound treasure, an incredible woman and only the bravest warrior and most virile brave is worthy of Shadow Woman's heart and love.
Shadow Woman looks to the night sky and whispers a prayer to The Great Spirit, for a soulmate, where their spirits will entwine for eternity.
She also asks for the continued strength of the Willow.
So beautiful, such powerful and deep thoughts. Impressions of past lives etched into your being, held steadfastly and close to your warm heart wherein lies the truth of being.....
A beautiful and intense write my friend, touched me deeply as my ancestors were Cherokee from North Carolina. I have a passion for Native Americans and love to read and write poetry about their life, their connection with mother earth, passion, and lifestyle. I could feel the passion within this write and a small connection with Shadow Woman. Well done indeed...still lingering on my thoughts, meaningful poetry does that...

I have She Wolf within me, and tatooed on my thigh
in honor of the struggles that kept me strong and going with tenacity!

this is a wonderful story poem about this Native American soul-woman. The title was why I clicked on it. Music is nice, but this poem longs for a photo or graphic. Clicked on your bio, but doesn't say enough about your work. I'll have to read on your site sometime.
The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
