Not every can see the beauty of nothing, those who can see it are the happiest.

The Beauty of Nothing

She was sitting silently observing the blue sky
I sat next to her and tried to see what she was seeing
I could not follow what she saw, nor follow her eyes
They were not here and not there.

She was like in a dream.
When I asked her, what she was looking at,
Her answer was: “Nothing, nothing”
After so many years, I understood what she meant.
Nothing is what everyone should reach and look for.
Be happy in silence with nothing.

Wisely you remind us how much beauty can be felt and seen while viewing 'nothing'...and all: A restoring of our souls, methinks, Emile!

Seeing nothing means to meditate,
to be far from the frenzy, the pain
and all the greed in this world.
Nice words Emile.

I love this poem. Sometimes we all need to pick the beautiful sky and stars simply to relax or to be at peace. This is a lovely poem, and it is true, something "nothing" is beautiful. To me, it means being at peace with nature.
