My Love for Flowers made me write this poem, first in French and then in English

Poem Artwork

My Flowers

I love flowers, which I understand
I see them, growing on my land
From modesty and shame
Their real splendor they tame

Their petals, colors, and charm
Spread happiness on the farm
I watch them with my eye
They blossom under the sky

They do not like to lose their veil
Admire them but don’t prevail
While hiding they grow in beauty
They make me feel good in my duty

I love flowers, not in bouquets
Alive, not cut in any ways
I care for them, give them room
In return they show me their bloom

Emile, a very beautiful poem to match your photo!
I think everyone loves flowers, though not everyone
can have a garden. Lovely work!

We only have to do a little for them and they in turn offer us much. Love the poem and love flowers too, especially wild ones.

Your poem is beautiful, Emile. I, too, love flowers and the last stanza in your poem describes how I feel. When I have a beautiful flower bloom in my yard, or my roses, I can't cut them. I want to see them attached to their nurturement for as long as God wants it to survive---where I can smell it day by day until it reaches its season.

There is something so striking about flowers in the field (or back yards). They remind us of renewal of life, their colors exploding in gratitude. Beautiful poem and photo!

Flower should be free, in gardens or along the highways, because flowers should be free as our spirit.
Thanks for a flower's scented poem.

Beautiful Emile is your write you share with us. I too love flowers but it unfortunate that I have a black thumb. The only flowers that survive around me are artificial. Thank you for sharing.
