This poem is about the Culture of art. The artist is Mary Cassatt and she was born in 1844 and died in 1926. Most of her paintings are done in Europe and she was the first American impressionist painter to do studies in Europe and bring back her paintings to the USA. I shall look for a copy of her painting of the stamp which was copyrighted 2002, but it might not be available to the public except on stamps right now. The current paintings that are on the stamps are 3rd in a series done by Mary Cassatt.
Here I am, Posing for this painting. It reminds me of when I had my picture taken! I am not excited or thrilled and my hat keeps blowing off. It is very pretty though and has lots of flowers on it! My sleeves are rolled up because it is sooooo HOT! No, Mom, I do not like posing for this!!!
