How my Grandfather, whom we called "Gramps", passed away in 1997 and I miss him dearly. I am writing about his and Granny's house though. Granny has really made it a place for herself and has called it home. I am so very PROUD of her for how she has gone on with life. She is a GREAT Role Model!~
I shall never forget the "candy dish"! There was one in every room! Always filled with "Goodies to eat"! (That meant chocolate!)
As we got older, it was filled with mints and nuts. (Healthy Food)
I remember when you and Gramps Moved. Great New Place I would say!!!!!!!!!
Your house was ALWAYS so Immaculate! Never ANYTHING out of place!
In later years, I saw you with your hair down, (so to speak), and realized you were human.
Thank you, Granny, for just being you, in the later years.
We have a Super bond.
I love you.

Again I can totally relate because My auncleand auntie moved around so often ,1 minute they owned a Caravan park, next it was a Pub then later on different houses, but the one house I remember most clearly was the one with the pool table which is how i learnt to play pool billards and snooker.
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
