Mom and I went to
the grocery store today.
Mom, as she limped down
the aisle to get cake mix,
suddenly became an Old Lady
to me.

For the very first time, I
thought of her as OLD!
That has astonished me
because my Mom has done so
much for ALL 4 of us children.
I guess I still think of her as
”Wonder Woman of ALL Mothers!”

Mom has worked hard to make sure
we are well provided for. I have to realize

though, because of her age,
she may not be able to find work and therefore,
it will be up to me, to have a “Schedule”.

I am now the parent and she is the child.
It has already been that way for a few years,
but now it is official.

I have come to realize, also, that Mom may
not be here much longer.
She has had Cancer of the Uterus and

now has diabetes.
I thank God for the time We DO HAVE!
