I thought I would submit a poem that is on a diferent level for me. My memory is good, back from my "Golden Years", before the craniotomy in 1997.
I remember the construction of this bridge for it took a long time. It seemed a "hassle" for those who drove over the bridge, everyday, which included me, at times.
Ideas emerge, a brilliant design. Piece by piece, over two years, the bridge is built.
A life was lost, blood, sweat, tears went into this project. It is the Missouri Bridge connecting Columbia, Missouri to Jefferson City, Missouri.
Progress has been made!

I like using the bridge as a metaphor. I have used it in several of my writings. LumberJills and my tarot card, The Three Doors posted in my den. To me, life is all about bridging gaps, spaces where we need a plank to carry us to the other side ... the other side of something ... whatever it may be ... lifechanging decisions, turning points, and spiritual dwellings of the mind. This bridge you mention in Missouri is perhaps a golden memory that can magically bridge gaps that you may have in your life, Becca. Let it carry you on over to the healing side. Walk a little plank of it every day and soon you will have conquered it.
