Just my own opinion. Kind of a negative poem. I was in a rotten mood that day.

We all need to face
the fact that there is
a "monster" deep inside
all of us.

You are right, there is, but as others have said, how long they stay buried depends on us...nice short write.

Becca,

In a way I believe we all do. I faced and defeated my monsters long ago. The secret is to face them head on. Never run away from them cause they only grow bigger and more powerful. Blessings to You Always, Paul.

Yeah Becca, we do - you are very right, once i discover my monster, i try and eventually turn my monster into something like one of the Sesame Street puppets, we try to make friends, go get a burger, etc - but your poem is the truth - 'we all need to face the fact that there is a monster deep inside all of us.' and often, one not so cute and cuddly, and we must face it, to grow and be healthy - a good poem, one to think about for sure - thanks Becca, Nicky x
