Her hands were once fresh and young,
Caring for others as sweetly she sung,
These hands have seen so much life,
They held his as she became his wife,
Hands that cradled babies gently,
Those soft hands cared so tenderly,
Nursing sick friends,
Bandaging skinned shins,
A lifetime of love,
Touching lives and loving was all she thought of,
Now these hands are old,
Sometimes they get cold,
But these hands are the same hands,
So full of love and making sure justice stands,
These hands are still so beautiful, gentle and caring,
Still busy and still her heart sharing...
